Face Drive

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Face Drive handles personal data, including face data that may appear in a player's reaction video.

Face Data

Face Drive uses the front camera to record the player's reaction video during gameplay. Because that reaction video can contain a user's face, the video and any derived composite clip are treated as face data under this policy.

Face Data We Process

We process the front-camera video captured while gameplay is running and the optional audio recorded with that video.

We do not use photo library import, still-photo upload, face detection, face landmarks, face embeddings, face recognition, face matching, or identity verification in the app.

Purpose of Processing

We process face data only to show the live front-camera preview during gameplay, record the player's reaction clip for that gameplay session, compose the reaction clip with the gameplay capture into a shareable video, and save or share that video only when the user chooses to do so.

How Face Data Is Processed

Face data is processed on the user's device. The app records the front-camera video locally, creates local temporary gameplay frames for video composition, and creates a local composite export on the device.

The app does not perform face detection, facial landmark extraction, biometric analysis, or identity analysis on those images or videos.

Third-Party Processing

We do not send face data to our own backend servers.

We do not send face data to OpenAI, Google Cloud, AWS, Firebase, Cloudinary, Supabase, or any other image-processing API.

If the user taps Share, the selected share destination receives the exported video only as part of that user-initiated share action.

Storage

Temporary reaction clips, gameplay frames, and preview images are stored locally in the app's temporary storage only for the time needed to finish the current gameplay and export flow, and are then deleted by the app.

If the user chooses Save, the exported video is saved locally on the device: to the user's Photos library and to Face Drive's in-app saved clips library so the user can replay it inside the app.

We do not store face data on remote servers.

Retention

Temporary face-data files are retained only until the current export flow completes or the current run is discarded.

User-saved exported clips remain on the device until the user deletes them from the Face Drive in-app gallery and, if applicable, from the Photos library.

The code does not mark in-app saved clips as excluded from device backups, so we do not represent them as backup-excluded.

Deletion

Temporary face-data files are deleted automatically when a run is discarded, replaced by a new run, or converted into the final saved export.

A user can delete an in-app saved clip from the Face Drive gallery, which removes that local in-app copy from the device.

If the user also saved the video to the Photos library, the user must delete that Photos copy from the Photos app separately.

User Control

Camera access is requested before gameplay starts. Photos access is requested only when the user chooses Save.

If a user does not save or share a clip, the app keeps face data only in temporary local files needed for the current session.
